I've been using these products for approximately 2 weeks now, and I love the results! My skin is never dry anymore, and I find that the combination of the products really reduce the redness in my skin. All products are also very affordable, so it's really easy to keep up with this skincare routine.
1. The Daily Set- $19.00 CAD
Squalane Cleanser (50mL)
Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (30mL)
Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA (30mL)
2. High Adherence Silicone Primer- $4.90 CAD (30mL)
3. "B" Oil- $9.20 CAD (30mL)
4. 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Borage Seed Oil- $4.20 CAD (30mL)
The Squalane Cleanser is absolutely amazing for removing makeup. I usually have to use 3-4 wipes a night to remove all waterproof makeup. You can use this day and night, but I like to save it for nighttime use only because it's purpose is to break down makeup efficiently. The cleanser is very gentle, and leaves my face feeling very smooth after every use. If you rub the cleanser between your hands for approximately 10-30 seconds, the texture will change to an oil-like consistency. This makes it much easier to rinse off the cleanser!
The Hyaluronic Acid + B5 is supposed to be used in the morning and night before applying any creams. The main idea is that this formula contains three different forms of HA, a polysaccharide molecule, to offer multi-depth hydration and visible plumping without drawing water out of the skin. This is supposed to help improve temporary surface hydration. This product is a great addition to your skin care routine, particularly when paired with the other corresponding products.
Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA helps protect and keep the surface of the skin well hydrated. NMF is made up of multiple amino and fatty acids, and many other compounds that are naturally found within the skin. I personally love this product because the texture isn't too oily, and my face always feels very smooth after use. For effective surface hydration, you're supposed to apply this after serums.
High Adherence Silicone Primer
This primer works perfect for matte makeup looks, but it also works as a moisturizer to help reduce visible pores and imperfections. I find that I can wear makeup for much longer throughout the day. Overall, it's a great asset to your skincare regimen, regardless of whether you wear makeup or not!
My first impression of this product was that it smelled terrible, like fish. So terrible, that I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to keep up with it. I did a little research and found that there is a high micro-algae concentration. Micro-algae is typically found in fresh water and marine systems, so this explains the odd smell. This ingredient, along with oils, nuts (ALLERGY WARNING) and other herbs, helps to support skin defence and to diminish free radicals. Although I can barely stand the smell, I know how great it is for my skin. If you can change to a mentality of "medicine for your skin," this product would be great for you as it's easily incorporated into a skin routine.
The 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Borage Seed Oil is perfect for a soothing and nourished effect. This product contains a variety of ingredients, such as gamma-linolenic acid, to help maintain the overall health of skin. This is also a great product to add to your skin care routine.
The Serum Foundation is very lightweight and is paired best when using the silicone primer. The consistency is very watery when pumping it out of the bottle, but I find that this makes my face feel more moisturized.
Notes: I found it a bit difficult to formulate a skincare regimen based around these products, because all of the names are scientific and not self explanatory. Find the guide by copying and pasting the link below. This will show you the exact order to apply the products in, as well as what time of day to apply the products.
In conclusion, this skin care line is a great start for a skin regimen. Although it takes a little research to develop your skin care process, it's %100 worth it. Your skin will love you for it! ♡
